I miss Gramma. This was her favourite holiday and it hurt like a bleeding wound all day. I started crying when my cranberries gelled-- something she always wanted them to do and when I made her favourite pie.

It's been a year... why does it hurt so much still? Will it always hurt like this?

You can never put a time limit of missing a loved one that past away. I found myself wanting to tell my mom something just the other day and she's been gone for over ten years. It still brought a smile to my face thinking about what she might have said if she were still about.

I'm hoping to get to that point where thinking about something she did will make me smile. I'm still trying to phone her now and then and it's nothing but pain.
