Undisputed Best Dream Ever
Feb. 18th, 2007 12:44 amThis was such a good nightmare that it's moved up into the dream category by default. Usually, my nightmares involve either Things With Teeth or Burglars with Knives. This one, however, had everything: sharks, guns, cars, and SPIES. Totally the makings of a Bond film that I've never seen.
The entire premise of the dream was that Steven, surfing down by the rocks in Hull (which is even funnier if you live here since there is absolutely zero surf down by the rocks in Hull) when he had his legs eaten off by sharks. There was kind of an interlude about prosthetic legs, which he didn't want to wear and I insisted.
Then, we decided to go to Vancouver. I assume it was Vancouver by the cool, space age buildings and, after a really good dinner, Steven was inexplicably abducted by spies. They weren't really efficient spies, though, because they took him, fake legs and all, hobbling down the street to the waterfront.
I guess instead of chasing them, I needed to jump in my really cool silver sports car of undefined make that Nicki, on cameo, was driving. There was actually a driving montage, complete with flowing hair, before we tracked down the fleeing on foot spies and my shark eaten husband. Unfortunately, this got to the part of the dream where I always die before I wake up. One of the spies shot me in the stomach, but I did rescue Steven before I bled to death.
Other than that, we went to Target for new glasses, but ended up buying towels and a plunger and then IKEA for coat hangers. We didn't end up actually buying glasses since nothing even vaguely matched our china (read: would drive me nuts). I guess we're going to go to either Bloodbath & Beyond or Pier One later in the week and see if we can find something dishwasher safe that I also like.
It's going to be one of Those week-ends. I wanted to go to the Great Boston Burleque Expo, but it cost way too much and I'm broke. I kind of also want to go to the Garment Distric later in the week, but that depends on how cold it's going to be. Or something.
