I'm sorry to post again in so many days, but I haven't been in the right frame of mine to get more than one thought going.

Last Friday, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. We aren't putting the wedding on hold, at her request, even though my concentration is completely shot, but that's a post for elsewhere. FH and I were talking about making a donation in the name of our guests as favours. I checked out the American Cancer Society's website, but it seems that you have to make a donation for every single person if you want a card for them. Does anyone know if there's a more efficient way to do this? I'm sure this is a really easy question, but I just can't think straight.

Sorry again for the numerous posts.

Yeah, I've seen people do this for weddings and its really nice. You just make a donation in the name of your wedding and then have little table cards printed up that say "In lieu of favors, a donation has been made to the ACS" or something to that effect.

I was trying to figure out if you got cards from them or made your own.

And I just realized I posted this to my own journal.. It was supposed to be in [livejournal.com profile] weddinplans. Ugh.

I just got married last April, and we did our wedding "budget" conscious, so if you want to ask me anything, let me know. We had our reception in a "fire hall" although it was called "a ballroom" it was connected to a fire department. We are still getting compliments on how elegant and classy it was.

We spent quite a bit of money on our wedding, but we had everything we wanted without spending the $40k it would have taken to get it. I spent half that and still had it all. :)
