I'm sorry to post again in so many days, but I haven't been in the right frame of mine to get more than one thought going.

Last Friday, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. We aren't putting the wedding on hold, at her request, even though my concentration is completely shot, but that's a post for elsewhere. FH and I were talking about making a donation in the name of our guests as favours. I checked out the American Cancer Society's website, but it seems that you have to make a donation for every single person if you want a card for them. Does anyone know if there's a more efficient way to do this? I'm sure this is a really easy question, but I just can't think straight.

Sorry again for the numerous posts.

I don't know much about this but can you not just make a donation in a lump sum then make your own cards explaining that's what you've done?

Yeah, I've seen people do this for weddings and its really nice. You just make a donation in the name of your wedding and then have little table cards printed up that say "In lieu of favors, a donation has been made to the ACS" or something to that effect.

what we have done is made a lump sum donation in my father's name (he died of pancreatic cancer this past July 1st) and had cards printed up to put on the tables. i'm really happy with the way they came out and i think it's a great tribute/honor for a loved one.

i'm sorry to hear about your mom. if you ever need someone to talk with about it, i'm a great listener. take care lady.
