Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

Post-sex (and you have not lived until you have tried to fuck with a sore, out of commission knee. Steven's solution, other than propping it up on pillows was to hold my hips down to "lessen the jostling". It didn't help the need, but it sure helped me get off!), Steven and I were relaxing while watching Behrman & Behrman on the Discovery Health Channel. That would be the blonde twin sexologists who look like porno stars, in case you haven't been blessed enough to see the show.. It's kind of like Sex with Sue, too, except the girls are hot. Anyhow, I digress...

They were showing off sex toys and whatnot and had a close up of one of the doctors' hands. She had a gorgeous sapphire engagement, which prompted me to start cooing over it. After about 5 minutes of this cooing and how much I'd like an engagement ring like that, Steven finally looks at me, puzzled and says:

"Samantha, your engagement ring does look like that."

Yep. Looks like he's starting to feel a little more comfortable with the idea of being engaged. Either that or the ring he's intending on designing is going to look lots like the one I have now.

It was just funny to hear him refer to it as an engagement ring. He usually just calls it my ring or the ring. So, yay for Steven finally getting comfortable with our status.

Today has been a remarkably good day, considering how it started out. I have four very nice, new tires on my car. I'm probably a little too excited about that, but it'll be nice to have tread again. I hate skidding on wet roads. Unfortunately, the whole experience was somewhere to the tune of $430, but that's with road hazard and free maintenance and what not.

I also found a dress for Beth's wedding.. Steven and I have only been shopping for one for about three weeks now. He's to the point where he knows what size I wear through the hips (a 14), what size I wear in the waist (a 10 or a 12) and what size I wear in the chest (a 16 or an 18). It was pretty funny to see him rattling this off to the bewildered salesperson.

Anyhow... The dress is black, slightly off the shoulder, with a pretty cowl neck, and has a nice swing skirt. It has a sparkly pattern that kind of looks like stars all over it. It makes me look kind of busty, but then again, what doesn't? It's slightly below my knees. I got it at, of all places, Fashion Bug. I would never have gone in there, but my mum insisted. I'm so glad that I did!

For anyone else who cares (read: wants to give opinions on nylons, jewelry, etc.) my shoes are black peau de soir Steve Maddens and very 20s looking. I'll post a picture if I can. I need to get jewelry.

I think that's about all.. I'm tired and we have a scotch tasting event to go to tomorrow, so I need all the sleep I can get.
