Last night, I went out and blew 40% of my paycheque this week. I bet you're thinking it was on good wine, or shoes, or dinner out at a fabulous restaurant. It wasn't. It was on groceries at Stop & Shop.
Evidently, neither of us have been watching the home goods level, so we ran out of damn near everything yesterday. We had to buy toilet paper, conditioner, sudafed, and shaving creme, amongst the food stuffs we also needed. The whole shebang came to $40.07. That would indeed be 40% of my paycheque this week. I guess Steven's going to be paying for everything else this week-end, since his cheque is obviously going to be bigger than mine.
I still should be taking a shower. I need to pick Steven up at 2:30, and from there, we need to pick up the kid, since she has insinuated that we need to feed him (preferably at a restaurant) if we don't have him back by 5. She lives in the middle of nowhere; there's no place to really take him that doesn't eat up most of the visitation time, except to Friendly's. Not only can we not afford to take him out to eat every single Wednesday, but it's just not good for him, since all he will eat there is chicken and fries. I just read an article on just how fattening and caloric kids' meals really are. Tis a good thing we decided that meals would be a little more home-oriented.
