Hot summer days (and nights)

devilgrrlIt's so insanely hot outside. I felt like I was burning just walking from my car into the house. It's completely dead outside, no breeze, just dry heat.
I love days/nights like this!
It reminds me of the summer after I graduated. I barely worked at all. J. and I had nothing better to do with ourselves than hang out all night at the beach and cruise around in her big, red truck blasting the Doors and Janis Joplin. It was one of those summers that people always reminisce about when they're much older and stuck in a 40 hour work week.
I still miss those times, sometimes, though there were parts of that summer that I wish I could erase. I don't regret anything, per se, just some things that I would have differently.
Anyhow, I need to get ready for work and such. I also need a coffee for work. I'm so goddamned tired lately...
