We're watching the rewatch at midnight because I'm sure that I missed at least some subtle nuances, but damn... I will have to say, though, I'm not really surprised about any of the revelations nor who the Fifth is. They were Steven's and my first guess, really starting, I think, around the end of season 3. Nice reveal, though.

I am kind of annoyed by the high levels of desaturation in early part of the ep. Yes, post-apocolypse, blah blah blah, but when I'm trying to figure out if a scene is in black and white or colour, someone in editing is a tad heavy handed. Also, holy shit, how cold must filming on the beach in November have been?

I actually was not surprised about Ellen or Kara/Corpse. The last preview for Season 4 had showed the bonfire and you could pretty much see what she was burning. We had guessed Ellen pretty much when she died on New Caprica, like Beth. AND THE EPISODE WAS JUST AS AWESOME THE SECOND ROUND!! Watch 2x when you can DL it.

Also, is it up on Skiffy yet?

I figured in the Kara-burning-viper scene that she was burning her old viper, but it didn't occur to me that her old BODY was in it!!!

Oh we ALWAYS watch them twice when they first air. So many of them we can't even talk - just hit "play" and watch the second time, cause too stunned!

I remember when I saw the promo it didn't seem quite big enough to be a Viper, nor was it the right shape. Ironically, she was never on my shortlist for the final cylon. My other guess was Cottle.

We do the same thing. The first round, we sit with beer and chinese, in silence, and watch. I only occasionally make snarky comments. The next round involves nitpicking and me adding dialogue or heckling.

I love it here. The only sad thing is the few shows I used to watch are either delayed by about 5-6 weeks or don't air and I have to wait to Dl or buy them. I think maybe I will wait a bit before trying to dl that torrent. Wayyyy too many peoples.

Yea, same here. She was really the obvious choice, though I wish it were Doc Cottle because he was made of win. I am very interested in how they're going to spin her arc now.

What I am really interested in is Kara's arc. I can't find a damn spoiler on that.

I am kind of flailing over the fact that after lying to everyone about finding her dead body, Kara was totally going to go confide in Lee. Thank you two for finally growing up.

Oh, I'd definitely mark them and put them behind a cut because I know that not everyone is a spoiler whore like me. Ultimately, what I like is how they story gets there. You know, unless I can magically find full eps online...

I'm hoping RDM isn't going to make Lee into a giant weenie about this, especially after his I BELIEVE YOU and DOESN'T MATTER IF SHE'S A CYLON song and dance from last season, especially if she went and listened to his crap first.

Ok, so the XO's wife is the fifth, not a HUGE revewal, but really it seems to me that there are more than 5 since they were all walking around having flashback memories of living on the planet "before". I mean...doesn't it seem to you that Kara is a cylon too? How the hell does she end up dying and then come back to find herself in the viper.

And what's up with the chick who shot herself in the head minutes, no, seconds it seems after kissing Lee? Ok, so earth is toast but geeze, does that mean you have to be so dispondent that you go and shoot yourself?

And as for "over the top" the close up images of Admiral Adama's face all drunk, pissed and angry while in the XO's quarters. Gimme a break!

Kara's arc is definitely the most interesting to me. I'm honestly wondering if the corpse was a red herring. I get the Viper with her numbers, the tags, and the blonde hair, but honestly, there's no way you could tell who that might have been. It could be a plant, the corpse could have been the harbinger of death and now she'll lead them to salvation... I'm really into this.

Dee just kind of sucks. I'm honestly glad she's gone and I found her suicide to be well played. Much better than Cally's drug hysteria last season.

I kind of liked the Tigh/Adama scene. I really got the suicide by cop vibe off of it. He wants an easy way out after rolling the hard six and getting blown off by the president, but it's not happening.
