Reason #857 why my week sucks

This is not my week. I didn't really expect it to be, with school starting and all, but it just got better yesterday. Why?

Because a worm fell out of my cat's butt.

They don't go out. One of them has never been out and the other hasn't been out in almost a year. They've both been to the vet recently, for Christ's sake, and they were fine. But no, after being late for school and missing dinner, I needed cat butt worms to boot.

And of course, does anyone want to take them to the vet? No. All I get is fix it with my invisible money and spare time. Yay. Also, Steven is convinced we're all going to get tapeworms and die. I told him not to lick the cat's butt and he should be fine. If not, hey, he keeps saying he wants to lose weight...

Internets, does anyone have a suggestion for a good dewormer? Or at least what to avoid? I know nowitsdark0 gave me suggests already, but I am open to more.

Someday, I will write a nice entry about my trip to Vermont (Or: How I Feel Down A Hill) and my classes, but I'm too headachy.

Augh, if it's not one thing it's another!

Unfortunately, the best dewormers are the vet-prescribed ones.
Some vets will accept a poop sample in lieu of an office visit with kitties. And you have to treat them both or it's no good. :/

Oh yea, I remember the treat them both or there will be more worms.

I'm hoping someone will be willing to suck it up and take the cats/pay for it (read: Mum or Grandpa). I can't take them until next Thursday because of school and I am negative several hundred because I have to buy books and art supplies.

Out of curiosity, do they have fleas?
Only asking because fleas carry worm eggs. :/

Nope, they are flea free as far as we know. That's what's baffling me so much. They've been fine for so long, they don't go out, I have no idea what the issue is.
