Mm, Friday
May. 9th, 2008 11:44 pmNooooooo, not Jean! First Gunny, and now Jean? I loved Jean. Damn you, Battlestar.
Is it me or is Anders turning into a HUGE liability? All of a sudden, he's awfully gun happy. First, he shoots Gaeta, then he's all about shooting the Six. Boom, sir. It's nice he found his balls and all, but really, isn't this a little much after three seasons of spinelessness? I know he's going to play a big part since he's one of the Final Five, but Kara, dump him. He is waaaay more trouble than he's worth and you can find plenty on your own. Even Not!Leoben's looking like he's a little more stable.
Wonder if Gaeta's next on the list to go? Also, anyone think of Gone with the Wind when he was all "Don't let them take my leg!"?
Interesting what the Hybrid said... On one hand, her ramblings sure sounded like Kara's going to lead them to Earth (The children of the one reborn shall find their own country), but then she turns around and calls her the Harbinger of Death. I'm guessing Kara's heralding the Dying Leader's death or possibly the death of the Cylon race as they know it, not just general destruction. Interesting that the Eight's blood was the one that triggered the revelation.
Sounds like she mentions Lee, too (The obstinate toy soldier becomes pliant.)
It was kind of hard for me to watch the Roslin cancer bit, having just been through that with my mum and having my own issues a half dozen years ago. It was well done, don't get me wrong, but it's very hard for me to watch objectively. It does sound like Adama and Roslin have come to an understanding about Kara and that her change in beliefs is foreshadowing of the rest of the season. They're still awfully cute together.
Wasn't this the episode we were supposed to find out about Jake? Or is this next week?

I still feel kind of crappy. My chest is still hurting a decent amount. I came home from school today and napped for three and a half hours. Ignore that I got eight hours of sleep last night, I could hardly stay awake at school today. It sucked. I read my MacWorld, but damned if I can remember what was in it.
Going to RI tomorrow and probably seeing Iron Man on Sunday. We've opted not do anything for Mother's Day this year. It's not going to be a really good day. I did get Mum some Lily Savon soap and earrings, but no card. Stupid upsetting greeting card holiday.
No word back on the summer job o' doom yet. I even made my answerphone message professional for them.
Ok, things I like this week: Rachel's Yoghurt. Really awesome, unusual flavours. Best of the bunch is Plum Lavender Honey, so far, but vanilla chai and pomegranate acai are really good too. It's the new lunch of champions.
