My knee has been driving me insane all day, so I have done nothing aside from mess around on Facebook and read LJ, really. Steven took me out for ice cream. Spend the day with my grandfather yesterday, had dinner with Beth and Rich after. The real reason I'm posting? I found high school pictures! Yay!

Arriving. This was about a month before I turned 18. I still have that dress.


For whatever reason, I made prom court. I was not especially popular and, hell, my date was wearing a kilt. Those were definitely reasons I shouldn't have been there. But hey, look at us being all rebellious and making the metal hands.


Dancing with my prom date. My shoulder might look hinky (it pops out), but damn... my rack looks awesome. Why did I not appreciate this more at the time.

All those photos were snagged from Becky Hyland who I went to school with. I had a blast looking through all the old photos from school.

I know what you mean about wishing you had appreciated your boobs when you were younger. I wish I had appreciated my whole damn body when I was in high school. I spent all of high school thinking I was fat, when I weighed about 15 pounds less than what I do now. And I hadn't gained and lost and gained and lost any weight at that point, so I know that my boobs weren't saggy or had stretch marks on them at that point. Why, oh why, didn't I realize how good I had it?!?! :)

I spent all of high school thinking I was fat when I weighed almost 40 pounds less than I do now.

Weighed 60-70 less and totally thought I was fat because all the girls in my class weighed a good 20 pounds less than I did (yeah, they were ALL too skinny. Like, size 0-1, anorexic skinny).

It's scary... All the kids are like that now. I can't believe how tiny some of them are and they're thinking they need to lose weight.

Oh man, agreed. I was so self-conscious in high school 90% of the time. I wish I could go back and smack myself so that I could enjoy it.

Can't put old heads on young bodies, though.
