I graduated in 1999.  I'm 25 years old. I'm married. And today, I got busted for not having a hall pass. That makes the third time this week that I've gotten mistaken for a student. Earlier this month, I got carded for buying an R rated movie. Yet I never get carded for buying booze. What is wrong with this picture?

I've also had two of my friends' younger siblings in class this week. That's even stranger since I remember them when they were in elementary school.

I'm glad the week's almost done, though. I still feel crappy from this cold and I'm dead tired, even though I've been napping for 3 hours a day and  going to bed at 11. Last night sucked since I was super congested all night.

I'm all over the plums we bought at BJ's tonight. They're so good. I also picked up some corned beef for Saturday. Now if only I can find a crockpot recipe...

How is it 9 already? I need to pick out my clothes for tomorrow so I can enjoy Family Guy in peace.

corned beef is good. I've only had it once in my life before though. Cabbage is better.

Wal*Mart always cards me for movies, though I think they have to.

I bet they think we're horrible, ungodly heathens for watching R rated movies.

I love cabbage. My mum thought I was insane as a kid for loving it.

Brian is 30 and still sometimes gets carded when he buys rated R movies. The last time it happened, the cashier was like "Are you over 17?" We both laughed and said he was 30. I get carded for everything. I went to apply for a part time job at Kohls and the woman behind the counter said "Sorry Hun, you have to be 17 or older to work here." Then I told her I was 24. She was just floored. Oh well, at least we don't look older than we really are.

I guess we'll all be really happy about this in 10 years.

Don't take things the wrong way, but I think it has to do with the way one dresses. I'm married, 27 years old, and if I walk around without make-up in jeans & sneakers, I've gotten carded for R-rated movies, buying cigarettes, but never for booze. (Perhaps because people who booze a lot tend to buy beer looking disheveled??).

However, now that I"m in school setting, I dress the teacher role, so I never wear jeans nor sneakers, and I put on lipstick instead of chapstick. And nobody cards me for R-rated movies or cigarettes anymore.

That's entirely possible. I was wearing cords and a polo yesterday. Though I did have someone try to send my class off to the library because they didn't think I was the sub the day I was wearing heels and a skirt.

I think it really amuses me because not only am I a graduate, but my mum teaches in the same school, so I'm always visiting.
