Look, an entry that's not a survey for once.

I don't have anything better to do right now, aside from trying to ignore the fact that my throat is swelling up and feels like it's full of cotton. I wish I knew what I had that I was allergic to. Best guess is either poptarts or jalepenos, either of which would suck a lot. I've pretty much been eating plums and bread and butter pickles all day. Probably the grossest combo ever.

I'm loving the new iBook. It's a lot easier to work with than I expected and I'm in love with Adium. Oh my god, the tweaks! I'm tempted to say that alone could convert me over to Macs for good. That and my bitterness towards Vista. I do miss SEMagic, though. Any suggestions for a client for LJ that doesn't suck? iJournal didn't work for me and I don't like Phoenix since it lags like crazy. Worst case is I'll just update from the homepage.

I haven't tinkered with too much else yet. I have Photoshop 7 on here, but I haven't opened that yet. I also only have Tiger, so next week I'm going over to Mum's so she can install Panther and Photoshop 8. My mother, of course, is not so subtly gloating about the Macs. She's been pressing me to convert for years and she's all but doing a little dance about it. I think the only reason she refrains from chanting nyah-nyah at me is because she's an adult.

Ugh. My throat needs to knock it off. The allergic reaction schtick is old.

I need to find a cable so I can connect this computer to the laptop and transfer my MP3s. It would be too much of a pain in the ass to just redownload all of them. I suppose I will if I have to, but I'd rather do it the lazy way.

This weather also needs to go away. My knee is killing me. I've been limping around since yesterday. The arthritis has done nothing but get worse since I had the surgery. I know I've been kidding about getting a cane, but I'm starting to think about actually doing it. There are some days where I don't even want to think about the stairs.

Thanks! I like the layout too, though the masthead kind of bugs me because it looks a lot like Modigliani, who I have this kind of love/hate thing for.

I hope your throat feels better soon. I have thought about a cane for my knee also. After seeing my mom with hers I decided to just keep on limping. I'm glad you are enjoying your new computer. I am scared of Macs.

I've been harbouring Mac fears for ages, but these were such an awesome deal that I couldn't help myself. They're actually not as scary as I had originally thought. They're pretty simple to use, in fact.

Plus, Photoshop helped me over my phobia.

I wish I knew what I had that was doing it. I generally avoid things on my hit parade of allergies, so this is a fresh new hell to be discovered.

i use an lj prog called xjournal, it's not as good as semagic (which i miss terribly) but it suffices and has a good 'get music' feature.
