Wierd Noise

devilgrrlWe keep hearing this wierd noise outside. It's like sort of like a cross between a jet and thunder. The last one lasted like 3 minutes and it sounded like it was hovering for a while right near the complex. We've heard it three times, so far this evening and neither of us can figure out what it is. It's starting to creep me out. I keep waiting for it to start again.
I thought it might have been the upstairs neighbour's surround sound, but Steven went outside to check it out and he said it was definitely outside. We hear planes going over a lot, but nothing like this before.
It kind of reminds me of when we were still moving our things out of Rockland. We were loading up the car for a last trip and all of a sudden, there was a helicopter flying over, really low. We could see the pilot. So, we're watching and it stops and just hovers. Then, the guy flew off. We thought nothing of it and started back to load up the car. The helicopter came back, lower, and hovered right over us. The pilot was waving down to us and for a while, we seriously thought he was going to land. Needless to say, when he took off that time, we didn't wait to see if he'd come back again.
Well, the sound is back in a form. It's like a hum now and it's driving me nuts. It feels like it's through me, like bass at a concert. Ugh. I can't ever live in a normal place, can I?
