I'll have pictures, eventually, too, but I still haven't uploaded those.

Christmas Eve, we went to my grandparents to celebrate early. We had chinese food with them and that was a fiasco. The woman there wouldn't get off the phone long enough to take our order. Then, after she did, she got back on the phone, so it didn't get put in right away, either. The food was ok, though. It's actually still in my fridge and I should toss it.

We gave Gramma and Grampa their presents and then headed over to my cousin Karyn's for her Christmas Eve party. Steven got to meet most of my relatives and he was a hit. All my relatives liked him, which was really awesome. I was a little worried about them liking him, but everything worked out. Now if only his family would like me. That's another post, though.

We came back here, Laura came over with cookies and presents, and we ordered more chinese food. This had less of a wait, though. She headed back to her mom's around 9, I think, and we watched TV and had our annual sex under the tree. Right after, Steven decided he really wanted to do stockings. He had put a surprise in it for me, knowing how much I hate surprises. So he opened his. I had put sock, underwear, a pair of Boston terrier socks, a little sponge holder for the kitchen, and some Reese's.

Mine had underwear from Vicky's, a cute little bear ornament, something else I can't remember, and the wrapped box. Inside the wrapped box were tickets to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Tuesday. This is probably the best surprise I've gotten to date. It was really awesome.

We ended up going to bed shortly after because we were both tired. We woke up Christmas morning around 8 and decided just to get up and open presents. Steven got a nice dress shirt, a yellow fleece, a Snoopy shirt, shoes, a "Put the 'Chan' back in Chanukah" shirt, an ice cream scoop, a key thing from Laura, and obviously his Festina watch. He was so funny opening the watch. He looked at it and just said "Oh, no..." It was great. I have pictures of that. I think there were a couple other things he got, but I can't remember.

I got a fleece shirt from Old Navy, a cute penguin shirt, new green winter boots, a pair of HK ear muffs (that snapped before I could even put them on!), a little Chococat toy from Laura's grandmother, an HK waffle iron and a shirt from Laura, and a framed goosen picture, also from Laura. I also may have gotten more, but can't remember.

Steven and I together received tickets to Les Mis, movie passes, a Suncoast gift card and a Santa from Alex and Joy, a pound of coffee from Carol and Nicki, and money from my mom, Bruce, and my grandparents. My father also sent us $300.

After that, we decided to go take a looooong nap before making dinner. We got up right around 2 and started heating up the dishes I made the night before. We had a Honey Baked Ham, asparagus, candied sweet potatoes, homemade applesauce, and baked beans. We broke open a bottle pinot grigio from the party, and enjoyed our nice, quiet dinner together. After dinner, we lit the candles for the first night of Hanukkah, I showered, and we headed to Mom's and Bruce's for their Christmas thing. We came back from there and pretty much just hung out, I drank much port, and then we went to bed.

Monday, we went out to lunch at Bugaboo with Laura and then headed to the mall so Steven could get his watch adjusted. I bought some damn cute underwear and a skirt at Torrid. Then we decided to hit Friendly's. I almost got smacked in the face by a balloon on the way in and I should have known then. I told the girl who seated us that I absolutely could not be seated near balloons since I was severely allergic to latex. She said ok. So we eat and what does the girl do? She starts bringing the balloons around and handing them out, including to the kids right behind us. My throat started closing, so I made Steven move because I had to leave immediately. I also didn't have my EpiPen. I was outside, choking and coughing, when the managers came out. Apparently, the dumb girl never told them I was allergic! So, we got coupons for three free ice cream, a free appetizer, and a $50 Thank You for Not Dying giftcard. They kept trying to call an ambulance for me, but what were they going to do? I was away from the allergen.

Tuesday, we went to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We headed in to the city around 4:30 and had dinner at Fanuiel Hall. We actually bumped into Sarah Lyons, from high school, and ended up talking to her for a while before heading over to the Garden. Steven fortuitously picked up a programme and we went to our seats. Oh my god, Steven got the best seats. We were the first row of the balcony and dead centre. It was AWESOME! They played most of The Lost Christmas Eve, there was a brief intermission, and then they played a bunch of other music. They played for almost three hours. There were lasers, strobes, and pyrotechnics. It was so cool. And they played Carol of the Bells twice. I died a lot. After the show, we headed downstairs because there was a signing. Apparently, one of the members of the band used to play in another band called Testament, which Steven saw in 1992 and got an autograph from the same guy. Steven was wearing the same shirt, the guy recognized it, chatted with him about it, and gave him a pick. It was pretty fun. I have a signed ticket.

Wednesday was the stupid Hanukkah thing at Steven's parents. It wasn't overtly horrible, but I'm glad we aren't going again for a while. His mother is really a bitch. This will be a whole different entry, though. Elliott opened his Christmas presents here and was all excited. We could barely pry the purple bear my mom got him away from him. I'm guessing we'll be playing Candyland most of the week-end. He got a few neat things from his aunts and grandparents. Steven's brother flaked on getting him anything, but whatever. We got Lane some chinese frogs and Steven is giving him some of the tickets for the Rox.

Yesterday was my grandparents' 60th. wedding anniversary and one year till our wedding. We had a very nice lunch with my grandparents. From there, we headed to Emerald Square for a little shopping. We picked up some candles and car air fresheners from Yankee, a beef stick from Hickory Farms, and some socks and sunglasses at Torrid. We met up with Jenna and her mom at Panera since she's headed back to college in a couple days. I asked her to be a bridesmaid and she squee'ed. Then we headed over to Old Navy, where her mom bought me a nice fleece bag and another fleece shirt in kelly green. How I love Old Navy fleece. We left there and went to the movie theatre to see Memoirs of a Geisha. I won't spoil it here, but I was a little disappointed. It was visually fantastic, but the script was lacking.

We've done nothing so far today. We had lunch at the deli (beef stew and monte christos), took a nap, fucked, and then lit the candles for Hanukkah. We're going to head down to the mall later to exchange things. I want a cookie and I kind of have to pee.

Oh, and we went to the new little country store/knick knack shop on Pond. Steven bought me a Christmas pickle and I am really excited about that. He was excited by the penny candy.

Now I really must get dressed.
