This cold will. not. die. I finally started feeling a little better Friday, but when I woke up Saturday? Oh no, the cold hadn't gone away... It had just moved upstairs. I went to Beth's wedding high off my ass on cold medicine. Yesterday was just plain awful. I couldn't taste anything, couldn't smell anything, and I felt like I was underwater. Today, I feel marginally better, except that my ear is all clogged and i keep bumping into shit because my balance is all off. Bitter.
Beth's wedding was nice. I'm betting she's going to have gorgeous pictures because of the 5+ inches of snow we got overnight. She picked nice, semi-nontraditional music for the processional and recessional. If there's one things that drives me nuts about weddings, it's Pachabel's Canon. Jesus, be a little more original. Anyhow-- the ceremony lasted about 40 minutes. They had the receiving line at the church, which was nice. They only problem was that the ceremony ended around 4:40 and they asked everyone to not leave the church until 5:15 or 5:30 because the country club wasn't going to be ready for anyone until 6. We bailed at 5, went to the card store, and got coffee at Starbuck's before setting out on the trek into South Central Bumfuck, otherwise known as Halifax. I hate Halifax.
The country club was actually quite nice. They did have a rotten selection of wine, though. Dinner also wasn't bad. I think buffets are a lot easier (and cheaper) than sit down service. It also leaves out having to decide who has the chicken and who has the fish. Beth's DJ was amazing. In case anyone needs a DJ, I think the guy's called Entertainment Specialist and he's out of Easton. I'd hire him and I'm picky.
I think that's generally all.
I guess my rising sign (Gemini) is truer than my sun sign.
