I saw the ballet

devilgrrlI went to see Boston Ballet's Sleeping Beauty. Oh. My. God. I forgot how much I love seeing the ballet. It was absolutely beautiful. I could nitpick a couple little things (one of the corps de ballet held her foot at an ugly angle in Act I, the Fairy of the Birds was a little off and jerky, etc..) but other than that, it was beautifully done. The costumes, the set, the dancers... everything was so well done. Mom's friend got us seats so close that we could hear the pointe shoes squeaking.
Oh no.. Now it comes out. I was formerly a dancer. I took ballet for 10 years back in the old days. In fact, I was actually in a production of Sleeping Beauty when I was 8.
I actually really miss ballet a lot. I never thought that I would, when I quit. I actually find myself missing doing barre exercises and stretches. I'd like to start taking again, but I don't know..
My mind is shot now, however, from my allery medicine.
