My cranky continues. FLocked entry about that in a bit.

Things that were good today:
  • Some of my pictures of the eclipse came out well.
  • New(ish) laptop coming TOMORROW! This may mean I can watch video on it.
  • New Vat O' Soup: fire roasted tomato base and it is good. Damn good.
  • LaLoo Goat Milk Ice Cream Black Mission Fig is really tasty and surprisingly inexpensive, low-fat, and calorie.
  • I smell like Snowcake.
  • CLEAN SHEETS! <33
Things that were not so good today:
  • My stomach has been miserable all week. I don't know if it's a bug or I've been eating crap or both.
  • Snow: we are getting it. 5-9" tomorrow, with most of it happening between 2 and 7pm.
  • I have been freezing since last night. I just can't warm.
  • My anxiety has been about +50 all day for no reason.
  • I have not worked on my painting this week. Haven't even started it.
  • I have a miserable headache. I sucked it up and took a percoset.
I was originally going to go into work with Steven tomorrow and bop over to UMB from there, but I was getting really anxious about it (probably because of the snow) and honestly, I don't want to get up at 6am on my last full day off. I can do that Monday. I just want to take it easy, drop by Mum's tomorrow and get my lappie, and maybe start the painting or finish the eclipse photos. One of our neighbours is interested in possibly buying a couple prints, so that would be cool.

Dude, they're talking about human-sheep hybrids on National Geographic. This is really kind of freaky. They're growing lambs with human organs. That really kinds of freaks me out.

So yea, I think just taking it easy tomorrow will be good. We have tuna steaks for dinner with bulgar and salad, plus the goat milk ice cream for dessert. We've restocked our fridge with mostly good food from our couple trips to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, I have Meyer lemons to make pies tomorrow, and I finished our taxes and am getting a good enough refund that I can get my MacBook in a couple months. With it snowing, we can curl up, watch boxing, and maybe unwind for the week-end.

We're up to about 8 inches of snow here. Let me show you how much I love snow.

...

That was it. It's been snowing since literally 7am. It looked like it had stopped around 7:30, so Steven and I headed out to Mum's to exchange bananas for a new(ish) computer. We hung out for a little bit and when we went to leave, it was snowing in earnest again. Great. We crawled at about 20mph to Derbyville because I needed potatoes and all purpose flour. That turned into a bottle of greek wine, aforementioned items, and some marshmellos for a treat.

I'm not sure if it's the specific brand of marshmello or all handmade ones, but these were almost too sweet for me. I am, however, thinking of making some myself and seeing if they turn out any better. The wine is good, at least.

New computer (my grandfather's old laptop) is a G4 with a higher processor, so I'm hoping that I can do more work on here. Bruce installed CS3 on here, so I'm looking forward to trying that out tomorrow. I've got almost everything set up on here and I'm transferring my music over now. Seriously, can I tell you how much I love Macs? They're synced up and this is so much easier than switching PCs. Oh, and Firefox works on here. Woot.

Of course, I still haven't gotten anything done here. Canvasses are still blank, charcoal is not finished, and there's still a set of photos not finished. Maybe tomorrow.

On the other hand, I've eaten better this week and my stomach is moderately less pissy with me.
