wow, I thought you had gotten a scene from a movie tattooed across your back or something with the way you said your fiance was on about them. :) I like them :) Congratulations.

Why did you pick what you picked?

The violet is a tattoo my mom and I share. It's my favourite flower and she drew it. The stars are to remind me to follow my heart and be true to myself (kind of like having the North Star on my all the time) and also as a nod to my heritage (family is full of ship's captains). The kanji was spur of the moment, but my mom and my stepson are year of the dragon, and dragons are one of my favourite mythical beasts.
