I'm happy to hear suggestions, if anyone has additional ideas.

So, go me. We sat discussed out wedding over chinese food tonight-- mostly because I wanted to check out the silk flowers at Michael's to eventually make a test run bouquet. We picked out a few things we both liked (hydrangea, freesia, cala lilies, and something else I can't remember.)

I think the colours are going to be (officially) Dodger blue, silver, and white. Laura, do you think the dress would look good with white, elbow length gloves? Since my dress is long sleeved and pretty formal, I was thinking maybe? Bah.. I'm going to run it by Dawn, too, and see what she thinks.

We are probably going to do it in the winter months (December through February). I want a cloak, dammit.

Preceremony music might be Beyond The Stars (Anakin and Padme's Love Theme). Bridal party processional will probably be Ravel's Bolero. I'm going to be traditional and go with Here Comes the Bride (which I think is Mendelsohn) and the recessional will probably be The Throne Room/End Credits from Star Wars: A New Hope (Steven's request). DJ will probably be these people, who did Beth's wedding and were awesome.

First dance contenders are The Chauffer, Save a Prayer, Accidentally in Love, and Fools Rush in.

We are going to involve a chuppah and the breaking of the glass.

And holy christ, we are going to be doing everything ourselves if we want to have a good venue, good food, and good music. Does anyone know of any good, somewhat inexpensive locations in Southern MA?

Oh, and guest list.. Duh. We're going to start working on that now, so we don't end up with a hundred billion people and blow ourselves out on the budget. Our budget is going to be under 5k.

I'm tired. I had to take a benedryl because I got a spider bite on the way home from Victory tonight.

I'll eventually post a modified version of this to [livejournal.com profile] weddingplans . I'm all 'cited.

Indeed, I like the gloves. That looks sorta like the dress I tried on, right? But without the embroidery and with the little crystal thing. I like it better (I'm all for sparkly).

I thought you might have tried this one on, except in apple. Though, it might be a little less expensive. Plus, I think since I'm getting my dress there, you guys get like 15% off.

I like the sparklies, too. I was a crow in my past life.

They were sooooooo good when I saw them in March. Oh my god, were they good. Though, Steven sort of pointed out that maybe a song about a one night stand isn't the most appropriate first dance song.

Still... We didn't start out on the best foot. And my thumb is itchy.
