Christmas Memage
Dec. 19th, 2007 08:53 pmRudolph and the Charlie Brown ones
Would you rather get one big gift or a lot of little gifts?
I don't care really
What’s the first thing you do after all your presents are opened?
Drink cocoa
What’s more fun: the days leading up to Christmas, or Christmas itself?
Meh
Do you do any community service stuff around Christmas time?
Not this year.
Are you excited for Christmas this year?
No

Steven's still sleeping, so it's really quiet down here. Well, quiet as it gets living on a main street. I'm really just enjoying sitting here, drinking my cup of tea, and catching up on the internets because I was a little too social to do so last night.
Yesterday morning, we got up at 8. MIL called at 8:15 because she is insane, then we went to see my grandparents and bring them leftover crock roast and gravy. The cat, apparently, really is of abandoned virtue because she is definitely full of kittehs. Does anyone local wish to preorder a kitten? I can nearly guarantee they'll be cute. I'm guessing she's going to have them in a week or two, because she's very beamy and is wandering around after my gramma, meowing constantly. On the other hand, if she had money, I'd be employed as a full time Kitteh Belly Rubber. Gramma gave her the morality lecture. The cat was whinging (mostly about not being given crock roast ASAP) and my gramma told her that she should have kept her legs crossed, all four of them. We will be getting her fixed after this; we just never assumed she was old enough to even go into heat. Thanks, Universe.
In other news, Steven and I are considering a kitten.
We stopped by JC Penney's on the way home so I could look at clothes I am not ever going to buy because I am too damned picky. I actually did get a really pretty plum coloured pointelle knit sweater, but I really was there to try on boots. I've been complaining about this for a while. Over the summer, my feet gave up the ghost and totally bottomed out. That means none of my shoes fit, including the hooker boots I've had since I was 18. So, ostentatiously, I was there to buy new hooker boots.
Jeebus does not want me to have new hooker boots.
I found two pairs I liked that were also in my size. The first pair fit kind of odd, but that was ok because I didn't like how they actually looked. What was strange was that the second pair fit much the same way. They were too big in the ankle, which is not unusual since I have stupidly skinny ankles, but they were too big in the calf. I do not have tiny calves. Nothing in the history of the universe has ever been too big in the calf. Then, as I leaned forward to unzip the boot, I heard a crack and felt something snap. The frakking underwire in my bra broke, right in the dead centre. This is the second bra of this variety that this has happened with. It sucks, because the bra is unholy comfortable, but I'm done buying that kind. So, just like that, I am back down to two functional bras.
We came home, changed, and then headed back out to meet with Jeremy H. for dinner at Uno's. Then, we went to pick up Steven's other friend, Jeremy C., and the night got interesting. Apparently, Jeremy C. had a need to take a bus back to Vermont. Not bad, except he had bicycled down here from Burlington. Buses frown upon bikes, so they had the brilliant idea to box said bike up. Great. We don't often keep bike boxes lying about here, so they decided to stop by the bike shop at 9 at night and dumpster dive for one. Then, the two least mechanically inclined people on the face of the planet would disassemble said bike, box it, and drive to South Station for 11:45. Which they made. With 4 minutes to spare.
I kind of wish I could have made a video of it. I mostly sat on the stairs and laughed, though.
And that brings me to now. Steven just got up and is making coffee, we're going to spend several hours cleaning, and then we're going out to dinner with my parents and going to see the Police because my mum is made of awesome like that. Tomorrow, I am getting my table, which is why we will be cleaning so much.

The rules are easy, just post 6 things that recently made you happy!
Then tag 6 people and ask them to post this meme on their LJs.
1. Sex (which always makes me happy)
2. Finding out my big Christmas pressie from my parents is a dSLR
3. The fact we will have a real table soon and will no longer have to eat on the floor.
4. Charcoals
5. Visiting my grandparents
6. Steven's lack of English skills

Oct. 18th, 2007 03:08 pmThe week still sucks, I need to take my suit to the cleansers tomorrow (
mom_o_cass,
maa3120, or
littlestarletta, do you know anyone who could do a one day turn around? The skirt is fine, but the jacket isn't. I'm leaving too early to pick it up Saturday morning.), I'm 47 kinds of tired, and I can't seem to find anything wake appropriate that a) fits or b) matches. I only have one black skirt and it's a Tripp one that I wore at my bridal shower. It has lacing down the front, but is otherwise mostly tame. I wear it to work on a regular basis.

I wish my ass would pick a size (preferably the smaller version) and just stay there. Right now, 90% of my clothes are too big. The things that fit are old and not really flattering. I could go to the mall tomorrow and buy something, but I am whingy and don't want to, especially not alone. And I have a headache right now and need a nap. And some tylenol.

Ology Thing ganked from papayarain
Oct. 17th, 2007 04:55 pmWeek still sucks, I'm still tired, and I still only have one pair of shoes, even though Mum and I went shopping today. I'm sitting on my couch with my chicken carcass because I didn't eat lunch and was too lazy to cut any off.

Survey from Laura
Sep. 16th, 2007 11:03 amI'm sick, no real update except it's desperately trying to become bronchitis. My immune system is going to suck this year.

Want to know what's a really bad idea when your back is hurting? A long car ride. Guess what I did today?
Steven and I went to Rhode Island to see my grandparents. I was dying by the time we got there, so I split my time between laying on the floor and standing. It was nice to see them, though. Because of my stupid back, I hadn't had much of a chance to see them since the beginning of the month. I also got my hair cut while I was there.
( New Hair, Still Pink )
I was looking for school clothes, but that was all I could find. I did buy a couple candles for the house. There's a gross cat piss smell in our bedroom from the previous residents and since I can't get down to clean it, I've been lighting candles. I can't remember which ones we bought, though.
Heather interviewed mean. You guys know the deal, leave a comment if you'd like me to do the same.
