I started feeling kind of blech last Thursday. I figured I was tired because of school, but no... Friday saw a sore throat and a stuffed up nose. Great. Steven had it too, so we spent the week-end snorting and horfing on opposite ends of our couch. Saturday, my chest started feeling tight and hurting which in my world means imminent bronchitis. I had leftover sulfa drugs, so I started on that and figured I'd make a doctor's appointment Tuesday afternoon.

Joke's on me. What I thought was going to be bronchitis turned out to be walking pneumonia. Fluid in both lungs for the win.

So I get an additional ten days of sulfa, 5 days of prednisone, and a whole lot of feeling like I was beaten with a crowbar. Win.

Damn, walking pneumonia trumps bronchitis every time.

I fail at lungworks. I've gotten bronchitis every winter since I was a little kid. I think this is the third or fourth time I've had pneumonia, as well.

The trade-off is I only get the flu once a decade or so, which sadly enough I'll take.

I can't believe it went that quickly. Usually I get pneumonia because I've been ignoring my bronchitis for too long.

Best explanation ever (failing at lungworks)! I think I failed that bodily function too, and have for years. Recently, I've gone from a normal asthma gal to using my inhaler two to three times a day. What gives?

Here's wishing you much luck, much breathing, and much rest :)

Maybe it's the weather this year? I've noticed a lot of people are a lot sicker earlier. Most of my kids have colds already. I never used to get bronchitis till November/December (in Vermont) and here it's September/October.

Thanks. I wish I didn't have to work today, but I need the money and have no sick time.
