Um, sad fucking thing is... it isn't Tool fans. It's society today. I know I sound like an "Old Person" by saying that, but what you are describing could almost have been my community college. No pot-smoking in the open, per se, and unfortunately no one is searched... but I am sexually harrassed or just plain harrassed every single day I go to school by packs of young men who seem to think that it is their God-given right to either A.) come on to ALL women regardless of age or anything else, B.) Insult all women regardless of shape/ style of clothing/ etc, or C.) All of the above, including random insults about anything and everything. I actually dread going to school because of the other fucking students.
The problem is that America is raising a nation of spoiled, entitled, rude, hostile and possibly violent young men... and women, for that matter. I don't know if it's like this all over the States or if California has the moritorium on it, I don't know if it's like this in Europe or Canada. But it's depressing, and it's feeding on itself and no one has manners or decency anymore, it seems like.
Wow. Sorry 'bout that... and here I was saving this rant for my own journal. I am SO sorry you had to go through all that. All I can say is that I sympathize and that it's why I never go to concerts anymore (however, the Lacuna Coil concert we attended last month in San Francisco was awesome, nice people, very small venue, other than some drunks falling over, okay).
