I know the act was wrong, but there are two things to consider:
1) The Italia player should have shown more class than to talk trash about Zidane's mother (no lie, that was the reported beef).
2) The Refs waited until the saw the Replay on the big screen at the stadium before they made their ruling on the act and gave him a red card. Which is ILLEGAL BY FIFA'S OWN RULEBOOK. Which means they did, in fact, by definition: cheat.
