[01:39] Laura Y: because if a baby is being cute, you are seeing it during the 5% of the time it is not being a complete asshole
[01:39] knitting badger: they really are. one of the mommies was talking about how great her baby is, too, and what a good sleeper and blah blah blah, which made it sooooo much worse
[01:40] Laura Y: almost all children are total assholes at least until age 3
[01:40] knitting badger: i keep trying to remember all the times elliott's acted out when that happens. preschoolers are pretty good birth control
[01:40] Laura Y: little kids are just totally self-centered
[01:40] Laura Y: they can't help it, but I don't have the patience for it
[01:41] knitting badger: they really are. they're messy and gross too a lot of the time
[01:41] Laura Y: I know I would spend most of my time trying to reason with my infant about why it can't wake me up at 4am and demand to be fed
[01:41] Laura Y: they're so unreasonable
[01:41] knitting badger: i figure that'll be what steven is for, since he feels he missed out on the 4am feedings with elliott
[01:42] Laura Y: he can have PLENTY next time around, eh
[01:42] knitting badger: oh yea. all the sleepless nights he wants
[01:43] knitting badger: i'm so not into the whole natural birth/breastfeeding/mother goddess thing
[01:43] knitting badger: i'm definitely hoping the IUD will fix my uterus's baby craving

[01:44] knitting badger: true.. in 5 years, i may have more patience for kids
[01:45] Laura Y: or at least some new recipes

[01:45] Laura Y: the best part is, they don't break my diet
[01:45] Laura Y: I've sworn off only things that walk
[01:45] Laura Y: fish and babies are totally fair game
[01:46] knitting badger: i bet they'd be really tender too, since they don't walk anywhere and are milkfed
