Chocolate Point Siamese, or a Rag doll, are great choices. Siamese, especially the male one I have, love to sit on your lap if it's comfortable enough, and Rag dolls, just stay where you put them for the most of the time. Better yet, go to a cat haven, lots of cute kitties there. :D
