On to the Holiday Shopping Season
Nov. 28th, 2005 01:40 amThanksgiving is over. Steven and I had the last of our leftovers for dinner tonight. Well, we still have a turkey breast and some dark meat, but that's going to be soup very, very soon. Pretty much all the good stuff is gone. Everything reheated really well, so that made me feel better about giving my grandparents a bunch of leftovers so they could have Thanksgiving too. We stayed through dinner yesterday after Steven raked all day. We're going back in two weeks to finish up the rest of the raking.
I took my ring out tonight at 10:30 and I already have a migraine. I was spotting like crazy yesterday. I hate my uterus. She'll get hers, though.. I'm getting my IUD this week. Essentially, this should be the last menstrual migraine I'll have.
We hit the mall and did some Christmas shopping today. I bought Steven a shirt and he got me a couple shirts I wanted since they were a) on sale and b) horrible to find last year, so he figured he'd best get them while they were there. We also got a couple things from Ocean State, a couple things from Yankee Candle since I had coupons, and went to see Laura's super awesome new tree and touch her happy pets.
After I got home, I baked a pie for dessert and wrapped the presents. I also did a shitload of work on Laura's Christmas present and I am happy to say that I just spliced in the third skein and it's now a tiny bit over 2/3 of the way done. I hope to have it done by Friday so I can get it all wrapped up and ready to go. I need to wrap up Mom's couple little gifts, as well as our gift to her and Bruce. I might do that tonight since I won't be sleeping till the migraine subsides a little.

I'm going to go to Ritz Camera this week, I think, and print out our engagement photo for Steven's parents, my mom, and my father. After that, I'm going to get a couple little things for Steven, but I'm pretty much all done with my shopping. I'm not buying for many people this year. I think Steven needs this shirt. It would go great with this shirt I have from last year.
I feel icky. I'm going to lay down and virtually shop for a while.
