Good Omen?

DISCLAIMER: No, we are not setting a date, no, there is still no "official he got down on one knee" engagement, and no, nothing is set in stone. This is me and my mad speculation.

In considering wedding dates (yes, it's jumping the gun, but it's fun to think about), there have been a lot of months that have been crossed out due to my concerns about bad karma. My parents were married in January. March is insanely full of stuff (Steven's, Lane's, Haille's, Steven's dad, an aunt, among others), April is when Steven's parents were married, May is when Steven's first wedding was, June... I'm just not down with being a June bride, July is my birthday, and September is Steven's mother's birthday.

I don't want to get married in a month where someone either of us knows well either had a bad marriage or got divorced. I know it's superstitious, but I'm not taking chances. That's part of the reason we decided we will not store the pictures of Steven's first wedding here, even though we are saving them for Elliott when he's 18 (or at least much older). That's why we are giving away her wedding china rather than selling it or throwing it out. I do say hers because she picked it out, independant of Steven. Lame, eh?

November is a possibility, but there are a couple birthdays and an anniversary. December is a forerunner, considering my grandparents' anniversary is that month and they have one of the best marriages I've ever seen. In 2007, their anniversary will fall on a Saturday, which makes it a viable option.

Today, I was thinking about Groundhog's Day as well. Both Steven and I really like the holiday, so I checked 2008. Also a Saturday. We are planning 2007-2008 as a ballpark figure. I know we will most likely officially marry in Vegas in October for a couple reasons, though one is no longer valid (no more blood tests in Mass. Yay!) The other is possible discounts if we go during Interbike with Steven's friend Paul and his wife Karin. Second, if we go with them, hey, built in witnesses!

Sign from above of good things to come? What do you guys think?

I love Figi Water. I want to drink it by the gallon. I don't know why coming from Figi makes it tastes better, but... damn...

I kept thinking I heard the neighbours moving chairs around upstairs. Then, I realised that it's actually my congested chest. The painkillers do wonders for my cognative skills.

Well, it looks like Steven and I might be moving again when our lease is up. The complex has totally gone to shit since the original super left in September.Today we received a notice that we can no longer have our grill on our porch and they want it moved immediatly if not sooner. Being allowed to have a grill was one of the main reasons we chose this place. We were told specifically that there was no problem at all with at all. I'm goddamn livid about this. Coupled with the fucking loud, obnoxious upstairs neighbour, our broken fan that we've been asking to have fixed for 8 fucking months because it leaks cigarette smoke (which I am not supposed to be exposed to) into our bathroom, and the water damage that no one has even come by to look at it since before Christmas, which we most likely now be charged for because no one came and looked.

I'm done with this place. Ever since Jan left, this place has gotten shittier and shittier. Not to mention, they're going to raise our rent by a shitload come June because we had to take a second floor apartment, which is more expensive than the first or third.

And now I've given myself a nosebleed thinking about it.
