So I still have a knee. I evidently did not tear the cartilage like I had originally thought. I have something called plica syndrome. I'm not going to go into details explaining it, hence the link. This is what they do to fix it.

What all this means: No driving, no walking, no nothing. I cannot drive at all until next Tuesday and then only limited until the 30th. No long walking or standing. No gym!!! Well, I can technically use the upper body machines, but nothing that would effect my knee. I'm going back the 30th. to make sure the stupid plica has gone back to where it should be.

Oh well, I got more drugs. Yay.

Time for chinese food.

Evidenty, my SMTP server has been wonky all day. Wonky as in I've been sending things into the great abyss of the internet. So yea, but I think it's finally back online now. My apologies to anyone who gets 75 of the same email from me or something.

So what am I doing now that I've averted disasted and finished my magical term paper? Something no one on drugs should do: I am trying to paint my toenails over a cream coloured carpet. I've got nothing better to do right now, anyway.

In other exciting news, I found out yesterday that a good friend of mine from high school is going to be having a baby next month. It's so strange, I haven't seen her since 2001, right before Dawn got married. Wait, that's incorrect. I bumped into her 2 years ago in the food court of the Kingston Mall and was never able to get in touch with her because everything went to hell. I was able to send a note along with her aunt, though, so hopefully we'll be able to get back in touch.

I still can't picture her having a baby. So many people I've know have gotten married or had babies in the last couple years. One of the girls I graduated with is on her second already. I feel like a death row prisoner, watching all the inmates ahead of me go off to be executed. I keep wondering when the warden is going to come for me. I'm definitely not ready to have kids. I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of getting married.

I feel so blah.

Bizarre

My father, in a fit of paternal/paternal-in-law love, sent us a cheque for $300 for Christmas. For anyone who actually knows my father, a year ago, this would have been completely unreal. My father has, evidently, decided now that I am in my 23rd year, living on my own with the Other Half and occasional Kid, to be a father again.

Not that I am complaining, because I'm not. You only get one father and I'm starting to feel a lot less gypped. I actually talked to him tonight without any lectures about my weight or anything on his part. He's been very good about Steven the last few times we've gone up. In fact, he's bordered on friendly. It's scary. It's like aliens abducted my father and replaced him.

It's all good, though. I like the newer version a lot better.

Anyhow, cleaning is still happening. So far, we have 17 people coming to our little party Sunday, as well as a snow storm. Rah. Carleigh-- hope you guys can make it, but if you're going to get caught in the nasty storm, don't worry about it.
