We did the Johnny Walker scotch event tonight and I must say... For a free event, it was fantastic. We had two full "shots" of Johnnie Walker Black and three shots of single malts. I don't remember what the first one one; I didn't care too much for it. The other two were a Craiginmore that Steven really liked and a smoky, peaty Talisker that I loved. Basically, it was 5 ounces of scotch for listening to a large man in a kilt show slides and crack jokes.

We got free pencils and lapel pins, too. Yay! If we hadn't gotten lost, we could have gone to the cocktail reception (read: more booze and free food).

After drinking the equivilent of 5 glasses of wine in about an hour (thank god I hold hard liquor than wine!), we decided to grab dinner and sober up. As it happened, the place that the scotch tasting was held at is right on the wharf. In fact, it was less than a 2 minute walk from where we were was the No Name Restaurant. The No Name is kind of like a cross between a clam shack and a poor man's version of Legal Seafoods. What makes it good is that they give you an assload of food and they're not hugely expensive. Dinner total was $36 and change. Basically what you'd spend at any restaurant, right?

Steven had swordfish... a pound of swordfish. This came accompanied with garlic bread, a ton of coleslaw, and french fries. I had a boiled lobster which came with a side of scallops and shrimp, garlic bread, coleslaw, a piece of corn, and french fries. This was great because I (stupidly) forgot my wallet at home and therefore had basically no lunch. I was famished.

This definitely is one of the best dates we've been on in ages. We haven't been able to go out as much as either of us would like since the move.. Even more so now that I've lost my job.

Enough of that depressing whatnot... I want to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. They're playing right after Thanksgiving, so maybe I'll have found a job by then.

I can't believe I'm still hungry. Ugh. I'm going to snack on something before bed.
