I finally got to the beach today. It was beautiful and still hot when we got there at 5pm. The tide was still coming in and the water was very warm. I actually went swimming, fully dressed, even though I was wearing my bathing suit, for once. It was amazing.. I wish I were still there, floating in the water.

What, however, was not enjoyable, was getting followed by a cop. I've been harassed by way too many cops and it makes me paranoid. And the man was obviously following me, too. He turned out about three cars behind me originally, so I turned off, down this random side street. He follows me. At this point, it could be coincidence, though. So, I turn again, another little side street. He follows me again. Finally, I turned down a street that was a quasi cul-de-sac and turned a couple more times, getting myself insanely lost in the process.

This irritates me beyond belief. I did nothing wrong, I certainly wasn't driving badly or behaving suspiciously, I was going the speed limit, and there is nothing wrong with my (brand new) car. So what gave this guy the right to follow me? How did he know that I wasn't just headed to a friend's house? Asshole.

So, then, later tonight, I'm driving Matt's little brother home and there is a copsicle (motorcycle cop for the unenlightened) in front of us. I'm headed the way I usually go. The copsicle nearly almost turns the same way I'm about to, nearly hits a telephone pole, and swerves back onto the main road. Okay, no problems here. I turn like I was planning to. The next thing I know, I see the cop behind me, even though he had just turned down the main street. I turn down another street and double back, now fully paranoid about cops. As I'm pulling back on to the main street, I see another cop, pulling out in the opposite direction.

I'm so glad I'm going away Monday.. All this bullshit with the cops is making me so paranoid, especially since there's no reason that they should be trying to catch me. It's not like I've done anything illegal in almost two years and, besides being a minor before that, I was never caught.

I quit. I'm going to bed and am going to see my grampa tomorrow.
