Bah

Dear School:

It's cold, it's dark, it's VERY icy... So why are you open? I know I went to bed at the normal time, just in case, and I figured that we'd have school, but seriously? Can't we have a two hour delay? I'm tired and I'd really like that extra hour or tow of sleep, not to mention, oh, having the sun melt some of the damn ice before I have to slip and slide my way in.

There is no love here.

~Very Grumpy Teacher

PS. Dude, Randolph is closed. They're two towns over. That is so not fair!

I don't miss those blustery winter days that you speak of. I certainly don't miss driving about in that mess at all.

My car was FROZEN SHUT this morning. Steven, who obviously doesn't want me home, climbed in through the trunk to open the doors.

I can deal with snow, but this wintry mix the freeze solid shit is for the polar bears.

My sister, also a teacher, has had like eighteen snow days already. NO FAIR. Of course, she lives in the Arctic Circle.... here's hoping you get a snow day one of these days!

They seriously should have cancelled Friday. There were a tonne of teachers out. I am, perhaps, the only moron who goes in no matter what.

I would like one Friday if you're ordering them up. All we'll miss is the teachers' luncheon.

I could even live with the snow. We could have a grudging understanding but the ice? Homey don't play that.
