WTF??????

I am breaking up with Battlestar. Tonight's episode literally had me yelling "What the fuck!?!?!?" at the television. HOW IS IT YOU CAN END THERE! I NEED MOAR.

Ep was kind of blah. I know it was set-up, but meh. I am still all about how awesome Starbuck is, though. No pity frak for you, Gaeta.

Is it next Friday yet?

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I was bored, and pissed. Can we kill Gaeta already? And VP dude?

And I know there are going to be deaths, but I'm paranoid about Athena and Caprica and baby.

and the whole thing with the baby not being his? Totally a "Oh, shit...we made him a cylon, but wait...Hera was suppose to be special. Okay, we'll make it not his baby!"

[identity profile] call-me-ps.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Right? Because wasn't Callie's freak out when she found out due to the fact that her son was half cylon? That was an "oops, better clean this shit up..."

Handled badly. HATED that fact.

All in all, underwhelmed by the ep. We only have 8 left. Please to be not wasting them?

(Next week's look good, though!)

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! So far I've felt like this part of the season has had a lot of "oops, let's fix this" shit going on.

Will I end up liking the series as a whole in the end? Yes. But right now I'm frustrate with that. Plus, I am way too paranoid about people dying, things going wrong, etc. Too much stress dammit.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
I agree about the "Oh shit... Didn't think that one through." retconning of everything. Honestly, though, I am willing to buy the Cally/Hot Dog thing. Seriously. It amuses me a lot.

Next week better win or I won't be taking Battlestar back.

ETA: Gaeta definitely needs to go. Character has outlived his usefulness.

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with Gaeta. So over him.

I can buy the Cally/Hot Dog...I just think it wasn't really planned or anything.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I agree. I think they pull have the writing out of their collective ass.

Did not watch it yet. Thankfully I have it recorded. I'll be watching it on Sunday though although your post and comments make me want to go downstairs and turn it on right now!

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
WHAT DID YOU THINK????

[identity profile] ccjohn.livejournal.com 2009-01-25 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I was still pissed at Press Secretary Cylon, whatever her name is about Callie. But would I have seen the who's-the-father plot twist coming? -- NEVER.

I hope Starbuck clocks Gaeta. Did he even look at her? She's destroyed, for God's sake. How about Apollo? This is the woman he's always loved. Did he even LOOK at her? She's even more freaked than everyone else, and no one notices.

Dualla? She was damned cavalier about Billy. That's stayed with me. Billy was a kid.

Loved both Sol's and Tyrell's Earth flashbacks. Love wherever that is going.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Tory kind of bugs me. I didn't like the total 180 she did after the switch was flipped. What she did to Cally was cold. I didn't care for Cally, especially, but that was really soulless.

I have a love/hate thing for Apollo. In my own little world, they had a nice little heart to heart after the end of the episode, but I doubt that. You know, after he pulled his head out of his bum... Seriously, it's your ex-wife, pal. Teasers give me hope, though. Hope that will probably be crushed.

I was never a fan of Dee and I found her death very, very fitting. She definitely seemed like the kind of person that would crack after finding Earth as it was. I didn't really get Adama's over the top reaction to her empty-headed corpse, but he was drunk, so meh.

I saw your comment about Six earlier. Have you seen the Playboy with Tricia Helfer in it?

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
:laughs: We have that playboy. I bought it for Kyle for a Valentine's gift when it came out.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
We actually have two copies. Somehow, I ended up with a complimentary subscription and Steven had one.

[identity profile] ccjohn.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I wanted to like Dee. I used to like Dee. Thought she was cute. But when she ditched Billy, and took up with Apollo -- I actually saw the episode the other day where she's just passed Apollo in the corridor, smiles and thinks, "hmmmm" -- she was cavalier like a total bitch. This is a guy talking, of course. But people who take up with a girl, let's say, like she's a toy, then dump her without a thought because they've found a better toy, no matter how serious toy #1, who doesn't know she's a toy, may've gotten, REALLY piss me off. I've had my share of those. Billy was gonna propose to her! Like she wouldn't have had any signals about that! --selfish, mean girl. I think Adama was just bumming because he saw her every day.

But I had this weird idea maybe so selfish a person as Dee might've reconciled her brattiness internally with, "at least Earth, in my heart, represents permanence and LT relationships -- redemption somehow." That's why she killed herself.

Playboy? Hell I'll sure go look for it now! Six drives me wild. I hated Natalie, though. I guess I should say Caprica Six.

Apollo to me has always been slow, probably because he's so good-looking he's always gotten away with murder. He'll wise to Starbuck eventually. I hope.

Is it OK if I friend you?

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
By all means, friend away. I'm always up for more friends, especially BSG watchers :)

I always found Dee really calculating. It always struck me that she really, really wanted the Old Man, but settled for Apollo. I mean, really, you have to not be interested in love and bunnies if you're marrying someone you KNOW is in love with another person. I found that really distasteful. At least Sam is just an idiot...

I kind of feel for Billeh. He was better off without her, though.

Apollo is oblivious and Starbuck has subscriptions. They seem to keep missing each other (though they seem to be getting better in season 4). And damn, he is pretty. Pretty goes a long way in this world.

The Playboy spread is pretty great. If you can't find it, I'll see if I can find our copy and scan it for you.

[identity profile] ccjohn.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
God yeah Sam is dumb.

I crush on Six, but like all the other guys I'm in lurve with Starbuck. Her complexity draws me in like nothing else can. A pretty face gets my attention, or sex appeal does -- but complexity, hooks me.

Pretty does go a long way in the world! Lemme take a look around the Intardweb & see if the Playboy pictures might be around. I'd sure love to take you up on your kind offer, I'll message ya if I strike out. Six just drives me wild. I love when she leans in on creepy ol' Gaius all the time & nuzzles him while lecturing him. I wish I had one of those. I wouldn't care how stupid I looked to people, making out with the air. ;)

I have a couple Playboys that are, like, sacred. Old ones. The two with Cindy C. The first one, 1987, I looked for that for years (pre-Internet). Herb Ritts. Just unbelievable.

[identity profile] expatjournal.livejournal.com 2009-02-07 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought changing the father of Cally's kid was just lame! Hera can still be special as the first. They didn't need to do that!
Also, making Ellen the th was lame too! Especially after the four knew she wasn't a cylon, at crossroads!

I would love to see 6 looks like without those tiny strips of cloth that barely cover her.
