i would never eat haggis.... AGAIN.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
My friend Beth had it and liked it. I prefer to avoid things made from stomachs.

i prefer my liver products cold (pate, liverwurst, chopped chicken livers). and certainly not mixed with oatmeal.

black pudding's actually not bad. sort of earthy tasting.

i hear horse is pretty fucking gross.

Not if you has Steven's students from Kazakhstan. Apparently, it is delicious and Genghis Khan stole horse milk from them.

friend of mine made meatloaf from horse... horseloaf? she said the texture was oddly smooth. that had already convinced me with a big old NO WAY, but then husband had horse tartare in italy. he said even after more than a bottle of wine he almost retched at the first bite.

Horseloaf... oh, that sounds icky.

ewwwww. just the idea.
i have eaten some really gross, vile things.
but i would not eat that for a million dollars.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yea, there is no way I'd touch that with a 10' pole either. So gross sounding.

Yet, I am a-ok with snails.

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Tehehe. The "wildest" thing I've eaten on this list is Baklava (which I'm now craving, dammit). No fish, no sea creatures, no insects. Just normal things. I'm picky with foods.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, baklava. I want this now.

[identity profile] ladyluna.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
One of the pluses of living in a big city, I bet I could find some fairly easily...

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
I was totally in a place where I could have had some and I forgot *krikri*

[identity profile] plunkybug.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Borscht CAN be good, but it REALLY depends on the recipe, who made it, etc.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't like beets at all, though.

[identity profile] lauraxmarie.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
