Newest Baby Update

Logan Michael Conway was born yesterday, April 28th, 5 weeks early, completely naturally with no painkillers. Dawn's platelets plummeted and she was bleeding out when they tried to get lines in. Her liver function was impaired, either from preeclampsia or fatty liver disease, which was why he had to be delivered early.

Dawn spent the night in ICU, but was moved to a regular room this afternoon. Logan is having problems breathing and remains in NICU with a breathing tube. Dawn hadn't been able to see Logan yet, when I talked to her around 1:30, but Mom (Dawn's) said that he was a beautiful little boy when I talked to her last night.

I'll probably know a little more tomorrow. I'm going to call Dawn in the afternoon and I'll update after. If anyone can add Logan to their prayers, I'd appreciate it.

He indeed is here, 5 weeks early. Looks like the baby shower will end up being a welcome home party.

Dawn's hanging in there. She was very upset she hadn't been able to see him yet, but glad to be getting out of ICU.

Landonpants was in the NICU for a week after I had him. little boys are so tricky! hopefully both will be in tip top condition very soon :)

im so sorry. ill be sending all the prayers for them. He'll be ok. is he on CPAP? leads and everything? he doesnt have apneas does he? how are the rest of his stats?

He's on CPAP right now and he does have apnea. They just took the tube out like yesterday and I guess he's doing ok unless he's stressed.

I'm waiting to hear more. I know she's living at the Ronald McDonald House for right now, but I don't have a number yet.

Dawn and Logan are in my thoughts and prayers. From the small amount of time i have spent with her, i have found her to be such a gem of a woman and i will be lighting a candle for them both tonight.
