So.. Incredibly... Pissed....

Yep. I am on hold with the California Attorney General's office to make a complaint about some damned collections agency who called a neighbour to find out who was living in this apartment this morning. I am fucking livid beyond words. At least I now have their information and am able to more fully file a claim against them.. This is the second time I've called the attorney general's office today.

I am not having a happy Wednesday.

they can do that, just as long as they did't talk about the debt...but i dunno....laws vary state to state...........

According to the CA and MA AG's offices, they cannot call my neighbours in my complex looking for who lives because it constitues harassment and could jeopardize my lease, if people bitch. Either way, they're already violating the two cease and desist letters I sent them and the dozen or so times I verbally told them to cease and desist calling.

The bitch at the place didn't seem to thrilled when I informed her I knew what she was doing was illegal and had already filed a complaint. I like ruining people's days.

notice in my post i said laws vary in each state......

i think you should use that as leverage to get your debt wiped off, cos what transpired is illegal, and paying court costs is a bitch...so if you were to speak to the manager of the place, i bet...just bet, you can get a signed, notarized copy of that particular debt forgiven...or have them suffer the consequences of court.....decisions decisions....

doesn't matter...this person violated the law even further by informing you of the debt...you and steven aren't legally married...so...you know?
