Yay, squid!

I redid my layout because I was tired of seeing penguins all the time. Now: cephalopods! The head bones of their close cousins are what we give to parakeets to keep their evil little beaks all sharp and such. And now I get to pay bills and keep avoiding laundry, cleaning, and art in that order.

It feels good to have art to avoid though.

God, I love tentacle-y critters. I am an octopus freak, I have several specimens in my room and this garish costume-jewelry-bit bracelet made up of gold-toned octopi... blue ring octopus are SO cute...

I was watching something on deep sea critters the other day and I was convinced that I should paint something with them in it. I love the almost heart shaped edges. I'm definitely picturing some kind of Valentine's Day thing.
