OMG awesomest update EVAH

Not really, but I don't think anyone reads those things anyhow. I am so achy today. We're not even supposed to have more stupid rain tomorrow, so I don't even know why. School was good today and my classes were a lot more motivated today, which was cool. I think I learned my lesson. I had tea this morning and I felt way better today than I did yesterday. All I did today was eat, probably because all I ate yesterday was gummy bears. At least I didn't barf those up.

I bought the most amazing smelling lotion at Bath & Body this week-end. Oh my god, their Festive Pomegranate smells so festive. I want to make lotiony babies with it. I've been putting it on before I go to bed, so my sheets smell all crisp and festive. This is good, since I totally lost track of time. I was talking to Cheryl after school when she mentioned next week is a short week and I did a HolyShit!Thanksgiving. I haven't even ordered our turkey. I should do that tonight or tomorrow. And, er, plan my menu. Ha. I'll be cooking all Wednesday next week, since I have it off and Steven's got a half day.

I was a bad girl on the way home. I could have gone straight home, but I was seduced by the lure of the liquor store. It was a fact finding mission, really. I want to find a good bottle of 2002 vintage for the wedding (suggestions welcome). Then I saw a bottle of eiswein for a good price, so I had to buy that. After that, I decided to get a bottle of carmenere to bribe Steven with. Then I bought a Payday, which was totally my lunch... a glorious last hurrah for my bachelorette days.

I've pretty much been home since. Last night was ...interesting... Someone was pounding on my door at 1:30, so I got very little sleep.

Oh, and paid members get an extra week for the black out. Mine now expires on my wedding day. I win.

I like Hawk's Crest by Stag's Leap vineyards. :) Its an inexpensive off label of a really expensive famous one. Its basically the same stuff if you aren't a huge wine person.

And I do read these things. ;)

We'd definitely be wine snobs if we could afford it. I'll have to take a look for that next time I stop by the liquor store.

haha. I my time has been extended to infinity + 1 week.

Anyways, I totally read. Because your MIL is as insane as mine. So you will never be like, "oh, i'm sure she's not really that insane."

(btw, she now insists that i am trying to not invite her parents to the wedding. Um, yeah, i've met them twice and they've not been overly crazy. I invited her nephew that told my fiance IN FRONT OF ME not to marry me. Why would i not invite them?)

Oh my god, we seriously have the same MIL. She called Steven bitching that he hasn't invited any of his family. No, they've just declined or never called back with their addresses.

MIL told Steven that he should date his cousins instead of me because a) they were "nice Jewish girls" and b) since he was adopted, they weren't really related.

I didn't get a chance to smell the Festive Pomegranate on Sunday, we were on a "get in and get out" mission, and I was there for Brown Sugar & Figs (of course) and my Sandalwood Rose... I'll have to go back and sniff it. For all that I am the Pomegranate Grrl, I rarely dig most pomegranate scents...

This was is nice and a bit towards the masculine end of things. I liked that it wasn't overly saccharine.

I do love the brown sugar and fig though.

I always read simply because I think you are interesting.
You make me want to sniff that lotion again. I smelled too many things last time I went there so I couldn't even smell that one.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-15 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
You definitely should. It's a great scent. Most of their lotion is a little too sweet smelling for me, but this is perfect.

[identity profile] papayarain.livejournal.com 2006-11-15 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha. Yes. You do win!

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-16 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
I win like crazy this week.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-16 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
Mine totally expires on my wedding day, now.

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I so need to renew it like now because I know I'll totally forget. And what would I do without my paid LJ??

[identity profile] sarakenobi.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 12:45 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'd totally die from the loss of icons. I hope you get more paid time for your birthday!

[identity profile] sarakenobi.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
mmm icons.....

[identity profile] nyhamsterhouse.livejournal.com 2006-11-15 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
1) We read, dude :)

2) Pomegranate = fucking awesome. Clearly, I need to do some shopping at B&B.

3) Wine: Frog's Leap is amazing. Their Rutherford is to die for, as is their Chardonnay. I second what the gal said above about Stag's Leap, too. Chalk Hill is also consistently amazing.

2) What is carmenere?

[identity profile] devilgrrl.livejournal.com 2006-11-16 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
I need to see if I can find that! We have so many liquor stores around here, but it seems I can never find what people recommend. Damn you, Mass.

The pom lotion is to DIE for.
