Desktop Meme

1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
2. Open a graphics program (Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V).
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
4. Tag five however many of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

What's on my desktop:
Background is a photo I took from a set in Boston. It's called Glow and it's available for purchase.

l-r in my Dock - Finder, Dashboard, Adium, Firefox, iWeb, iCal, Address Book, Toast, iTunes, Photoshop, LimeWire, Word, and Copernicus

My folders: Flower shoot from 6/6, a PDF copy of my resume, a dump folder with a couple sets in them, Mac HD, Incomplete & New Music folders, UltraLime folder, Filezilla, and Desktop Crap

Left hand corner has my buddy list and iTunes. I am listening to Mark Anthony Thompson - Haul Away Joe, from Rogue's Gallery.

I don't have much on my desktop because I tend to immediately back up any photos I've taken or keep them on a thumb drive. The two folders are on my desktop now because they're what I'm currently working on. I'm working on my resume in Word and talking to [personal profile] plunkybug. Copernicus is what I use for screenshots.

I'm not specifically tagging anyone, but I would love to see everyone else's desktop.

Awesome. I love your background, that's a gorgeous shot. :)

Thanks! Yea, if I died and went to heaven, that's what it look like to me. It was so gorgeous in person.

Photobucket

No surprises here :-) I'm quite fond of shortcuts, as you can see. December's Children C.7 is open (and nearly finished!), and of course PS.

Thanks for the meme, love ♥

It's a great meme, isn't it?

I don't know how I lived before Photoshop. I can't wait till I can afford CS3 in the fall.

I see you have Vista-- what do you think of it?

I went through all kinds of hassle when I first got this desktop with Vista a year ago - had to replace my printer, upgrade drivers and software. A real pain, and there are still some things that don't support Vista, including two drivers that came loaded on the darn thing from Dell. I'm still not fond of the interface, but I've gotten used to it. I just got a new laptop and made sure I got XP.

I do love PS :-) And, I love the photo on your desktop - gorgeous!

Thanks. I took it back in April. Spring in Boston is drop dead gorgeous. That's how I expect heaven will look if/when I get there.

I've heard a lot of nightmare things about Vista. I switched to Mac right before it came out, so I've never used it, but it seems like so many things need upgrading for it to partially work.

Spring here is really pretty, but it lasts about five minutes because we get constant high winds - all the flowers blow off the trees :-)

I've got this thing set to do everything I need it to, but I would never have gotten Vista if I knew it would be such a pain. Had to pay $45 for a transfer cable, the only one that would work, and had to go to the big city to get it. I do like my spiffy new all-in-one printer, though :-)

I always thought it was cool when visiting someone that had a pc, to see what they had up as a background.

All in ones are GREAT! I love mine, though I'm at a point where I need to think about a photo printer in addition. Still being to make copies in one's one home is great.

I remember how buggy XP was back when it came out; I couldn't imagine they improved it in that short a time.

Me too. I love seeing how people set up their computers.
