YankMe Candles' Mac Apple candles are delish
My absinthe calendar shipped out today. This means, holiday aside, I should have it by Saturday. I did't really need to spend $18 on it, but I really, really, really wanted one this year and the place I was originally going to get it from was sold out. Boo! I can't wait to get it.
Steven's getting a Feminine Frames calendar this year, I think, which is actually pretty cool. I just wish that they'd show a couple more sample pictures from last year's calendar or something. I like to know what I'm buying. I was able to find pictures of the absinthe one on another site.
Went to exciting Attleboro today. I was remarkably good about not buying too much useless junk (read: didn't look around enough). We picked up some candles at Yank-Me (a small MacIntosh apple jar and three samples in Key Lime Pie, Pineapple, and Festival of Lights. We had the Festival of Lights going earlier and it smelled a lot better than I thought it would. I've got the apple one going now and my room smells delicious. I love that scent.
Had lasagna and garlic bread for dinner. Yay for the Pepperidge Farm outlet store. We spent $20 and now have enough cookies, crackers, bread, and coffee to last forever. They were having some kind of sale where if you spent more than $10, you got an additional 20% off. Dangerous. Anyhow, we went to Border's after dinner and I got the absinthe book I've wanted for months with the gift-card Jeremy gave me. Also picked up this month's Bizarre mag and a cycling zine for Steven. The whole thing cost us $2.90. How awesome is that? I'm tempted to start the absinthe book now, but I need reading material for work. I'm supposed to be working from 10-6, alone, on New Year's Day. I am not pleased; nor am I about to do that. I'm going to talk to Da Boss tomorrow and see if I can at least have someone on 12-4 or 12-5. I also want to see if I can work out the same deal for the girl doing New Year's Eve. 8 hours with no break is bullshit. You can't do that, especially not on a holiday. Dumbass.
Anyhow, I had an all in all good day. My back's a little sore because we went to Donna's after and moved some heavy things around. This is why I have a waterbed, though. Heeeeaaaated.
Might catch up with Allison and Jay tomorrow, depending.
OH! My nephew said my name today. It was his second birthday and I was so psyched. He's such a doll and he's so brilliant. He speaks fabulously for such a young kid. I've got to hound Dawn for more pictures so I can post a few.
